About Us

IEFK is a non-profit, tax exempt, religious organization established to manage the educational aspects of the Knoxville Muslim community.  The main focus of IEFK is to run a full-time Islamic school (Pre Kindergarten through grade 8) and work with the rest of the community, notably with the Muslim Community of Knoxville (MCK), to build a facility in West Knoxville for the following purposes:

IEFK is an independently registered organization. It has been launched to relieve MCK from running the full-time Islamic School. MCK is the only membership-based umbrella organization representing all the Muslims in the Greater Knoxville area. MCK Shura maintains a stake in IEFK by appointing one-third of the IEFK Board members.

Our Mission

IEFK mission is providing a nourishing and caring environment that draws from the rich heritage of Islam and Islamic traditions, and preparing its students as responsible and respectable citizens of the community, the nation, and the world at large.

Document Repository

For your convenience and reference, we are making available a collection of documents that may be of interest to members of the Community.

One of the most important and constantly changing portion of the repository is the school project progress report.  We will, insha'Allah, try our best to keep it up to date with the latest information that we get from the people who are doing the actual work.  We trust that you will find the information interesting, beneficial, and timely, and that it will answer many of the questions that you may have about the project and its status.
