February, 2007 Update:

• Partition is being completed as per schedule

• Sheet rock installation is being completed.

• Electrical installation is progressing as per schedule.

• Metal and wood framing are being completed as per schedule.

• The retaining wall has been completed. Water proofing, foundation drains and backfilling of the wall are being done.

• Br. Ardahji’s installers are installing the data/TV cables to all rooms. Materials are paid by IEFK and the labor is donated.

• A professional PA system, sound system is being negotiated with a contactor to be installed in the cafeteria and the Masjid area upstairs.

• The final contract to dig a sewage line is being negotiated for the best bid.

• The materials for the drop-down ceiling are being provided by the Odom Construction for selection before installation. The ceiling will be installed after the interior painting is complete by IEFK task force (volunteers).

• Earthworks provided an estimate for grading work and await final evaluation and approval by IEFK engineers.

• Asphalt paving wait for contractors’ bids such as Best Paving and Duracap.

• Interior floor coverings are being selected.

January 2007 Update:

• HVAC contract is signed with Henshaw and the work has started

November 2006 Update:

• Plumbing contract is signed with Titan Mechanical and the work has started
• HVAC contract is still under negotiation with two companies awaiting for the best bid to start the work
• Metal framing contract signed with Holm Court LLC, and the work has started
• Electrical contract await final inspection of the materials by Lloyd’s Electric.
• Sprinkler (fire extinguisher) system contract signed with Simplex Grinnell.
• Framing and drywall materials contract signed with Tindell’s and the company started delivering material to site.
• Doors, frames and hardware signed with S.W Trimbles and material were ordered (will takes 4-6 weeks to deliver)
• Retaining wall (which is the second wall of the planned gymnasium) contact is signed by Stevens Construction and the construction has started
• Grading and site utilizing plan under negotiation with Earth Works Inc or Country Boy Excavating.
• Asphalt paving under negotiation with Best Paving or Duracap.
• Acoustical ceiling under negotiation
